Double Up Food Bucks is a healthy food incentive program that doubles the value of federal nutrition benefits spent at farmers' markets, helping people buy local food while supporting our local farmers and economy.

$241,564 of Double Up Dollars have been distributed since 2017, creating a $483,128 impact on our local economy and food system.

*2023 shows a decline in SNAP & Double Up benefits due to a variety of reasons:

SNAP "Emergency Allotments" due to Covid-19 stopped in March of 2023, cutting SNAP benefits significantly (emergency allotments provided at least an additional $95 per household or the maximum benefit for their household)
BRWIA implemented a $75 match limit to our Double Up program to ensure sustainable funding
Social Security allotments increased, causing some households to lose SNAP benefits
